I newbie in this forum and also newbie in this Zabbix. Please assist me.
I have one issue, 1 of the monitoring server it keep giving an alert that the server having ICMP Polling Status Change. I not sure either this is related to the server client itself or server Zabbix. Base on my troubleshooting during alert say it "Disaster", I ping the server alive even I don't have any complain from our customer to say that the server down. Weird part is, it look like pattern in monitoring that after 7 minute 30 second the server up then it will down 2 minute and 30 second.
Below is the setting
icmpping [,10,500,,3000]
Update Interval (in sec) : 150 (initial setting) change to 60 (just try and error)
For me, this is more like a setting issue compare with server issue. Below I have some question I need to raise to more understand how Zabbix operate. Why I ask this because I need to know from my part is no issue before we proceed to ask customer to check on their part.
1. Are this is normal if one server keep sending alert compare other server using same alert but act like normal?
2. On this issue, I change the tamplete(only for server problem) for update interval from 150 to 60 second and it running but return to down only 2 minute. Why other server same setting but not having same issue?
3. There are any log for this in Zabbix Server?
4. If question is "Yes", where I need to find it?
