Zabbix Server Requirment? Is this enough for my zabbix server?

    Server Sepcs:
    Virtual Machine
    VM Version 7
CPU: 2 vCPU (2 Virtual sockets and 1 core per socket )
    Ubuntu 64-Bit
    4GB RAM

    Zabbix Server:
    Hosts - Around 800 Hosts
    Items - Around 20000 Items
    Triggers - Around 6000 Triggers

No Proxy, Its all Passive agent checks. DB is on a separate VM (2 vCPU, 12GB RAM, MySQL)

On DashBoard i see that NVPS is around 280.

Is this alright? Or should I make add more CPU or move it to Physical with decent specs?

That will probably be fine. But keep in mind if using all passive agents, that Zabbix server does all the work. With some active agent items, then the agent side will do some of the initial number crunching.

With it being a VM, you can easily allocate more vCPU's / memory if necessary.

I run my setup on VM's with about 1300 hosts / 1280 NVPS and it works quite smoothly.

You may want to give your DB server a bit more memory if you can though. 16GB would be good. The easier the DB can breathe, the better. I believe we have 4 vCPU's allocated for the DB server as well.

Note that the majority of my items are active agent and we also have 3 proxy servers in the mix.

Alright! Thanks for the info. I'll add more memory and I'm already working on setting up 2 proxy servers for our environment.

As a follow-up to this, my Zabbix server also has 4 vCPU's.
