Hello
We have installed Zabbix 2.4.0 and are using the Discovery feature we really appreciate.
Since i had updated many machines from another Template to the Discovery Template we have some phantom Triggers in the Database.
I was trying to delete some of them and fix it, but unfortunately some reappear.
So here is my actual Analysis and all Information i have found so far:
There is a Phantom Trigger, so what is it?
We have a Discovery Template that has a Discovery which creates items for all Disks. This will create a Trigger for measuring the Disk Size and Free Disk Space.
With the Discovery we created a "No Data" Trigger on the discovered disk for Free Disk Space.
Now when i look at the Problematic machine there are two "No Data" Triggers, one that Looks for " No Data" on the Free Disk Space and one that Looks for "No Data" on Total Disk Space, which is not part of the Template.
On the attachement (Discovery_Template) you can see the Template
And the other (Machine_Triggers) Shows the Triggers that has been created on the machine itself
On the Database side i found the Error:
A Normal Trigger that is discoverred has a "Parent Discovery Trigger" linked via Triggers_Discovery Table.
Both of them has normally the same host (looked via table functions => items => Host)
But on this messed up Trigger, the "Parent Discovery Trigger" is linked to another machine MachineY, which has nothing to do with it.
Has anyone else discoverred the same Issue?
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks a lot for any help!
