    Multiple actions firing on trigger.

We have tried to make separate actions depending on application name.

All items monitoring services has application name containing _SERVICES at the end.

So we then have one action checking --> application name like _SERVICES

And one that has application name not like _SERVICES.

However both are firing when trigger goes into Problem state.
Any tips to what might be wrong here ?

    Example:
    Action1
    Maintenance status not in maintenance
    Application not like _SERVICES
    Application not like _API_
    Application not like Filesystems
    Trigger value = PROBLEM

    Action2
    Maintenance status not in maintenance
    Application = Filesystems
    Trigger value = PROBLEM

In my head Action1 should not fire when trigger related to an item where application contains Filesystems.

It does however fire both actions. 0_o

      Action 1

      A and (B or C or D) and E

A Maintenance status not in maintenance
      B Application not like _SERVICES
      C Application not like _API_
      D Application not like Filesystems
      E Trigger value = PROBLEM

      Action 2

      A and B and C

A Maintenance status not in maintenance
      B Application = Filesystems
      C Trigger value = PROBLEM

It seems to me there is a bug here.. that the 'Not Like' is treated as 'Like' instead.?

        No, this means:
A and ( "not like _SERVICES" or "not like _API_" or "not like Filesystems" ) and E

So fires when one of these substrings is not found in the application name.
Or in other words, 'Filesystems' is not like '%_API_%' and is also not like '%_SERVICES%'.

          DOH!

If it mathces any of the "Not like"s the enitre () is true.

And since i dont trust my brain at this stage..
          So A & (B&C&D) & E should be correct... right? 0_o

            looks more like:
            A & (B|C|D) & E

I'm running into this same type of issue, with "Trigger name not like". Isn't the correct configuration:

              A & (B&C&D) & E

Seems like (B|C|D) would always be true??

Also, are the () necessary? I tried A&B&C&D&E in our setup; and it didn't seem to work properly.

              Thanks for any clarification.
