    No "vmware collector" processes started.

    Hello,
    I'm trying to connect a vcenter 6.7 or esx host 6.0 to zabbix 4.4.
    I added a new host as descript in some online tutorial like this or other https://techexpert.tips/it/zabbix-it...e-vmware-esxi/ after actived vmwarecollectors on server but receive always this error on triggers and it don't discover any hosts
    No "vmware collector" processes started.

    Maybe I missing somethings but I don't understand what.
    Best regards
    Andrea

    By default the vmware collector process, that is needed for vmware monitoring, is not started by Zabbix server. Please edit file
    Code:
    /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf
    and set
    Code:
    StartVMwareCollectors=0
    to something non-zero. See here for the details and also for other options that are involved in VMware monitoring: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...#configuration

      Hi Dimir,
      thank you for your kindly replay.
      I already setted it as belowe

      # Mandatory: no
      # Range: 0-250
      # Default:
      # StartVMwareCollectors=0

      StartVMwareCollectors=5

      than I restarted the server and add host
      I tried also with StartVMwareCollectors=2
      but the problem persist

        Just in case...
        Are you using a proxy?
        Then the configuration change needs to be on the zabbix_proxy.conf
