Host Prototype

Hi, relatively new to Zabbix, but am trying to delete a Host Group via the API and am getting an error saying "Group cannot be deleted, because it is used by a host prototype".

Where can I find the Host Prototype definition in the GUI? Is it part of a Template? Not really sure what a Host Prototype is for, is it something to aid the manual creation of Hosts?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Host prototype is for Low-Level Discovery. You can define a prototype from which, based on discovered hosts a host objects will be created in Zabbix. Host prototypes (as well as other prototypes, e. g. item prototypes) belong to discovery rules and are accessed from "Configuration -> Hosts / Templates -> Host / Template Discovery (column)" and there you will see list of discovery rules as well as their prototypes.
