unsupported items don't recover

Hi,

I have several database monitor and external check items monitored by a proxy.
Sometimes the items become unsupported because of some issue (usually database unavailability), however they never become active again after the issue is solved.

So far to make sure the items become active again, I have to clear and re-apply the template that holds the configuration, loosing all history.

zabbix version: 2.4.2
zabbix-proxy with sqlite3 backend

what could be the issue?

normaly zabbix rechecked it every 600seconds ( you can see it here: Administratrion->General->Other) if it doesn't work please check the logfile.
