Zabbix Agent not starting on Mac running High Sierra.

I installed the current version of the agent on a Mac running High Sierra. The agent does not appear to start.
When looking at the zabbix_agentd-err.log there is a message saying:

zabbix_agentd [1461]: cannot open config file "/usr/local/etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf": [2] No such file or directory

but looking at the file in question:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root staff 13895 Apr 6 17:23 zabbix_agentd.conf

So the file is there and has read permissions. Not sure what the issue is at this point.

Incidentally, the log has no time stamps. So there is a "feature" request there as well.

Anyone have any ideas?

Same problem ...

I've not been able to get any version of the agent to work on High Sierra. Seems that it only wants to play nice with Catalina (not that I've tried that).
