    w32 agent not logging

    I am running the Zabbix Agent version 1.1 and am finding that it is not logging. In my zabbix_agentd.conf file I have the following:

    Server=1.2.3.4
    #Hostname=util1
    LogFile=C:\tmp\zabbixagent.log
    # Spend no more than Timeout seconds on processing
    # Must be between 1 and 30

    When I look at the c:\tmp directory, nothing is there.

    On the server, I am seeing that a connection is not being made to the client machines, either (which is why I am trying to check the logs). Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Did you started the agent?

      Yes, in fact, it's been running for almost 4 hours now. I have changed a few different parameters trying to get it to connect to the server, but still no joy.

      Any thoughts or ideas?

        bump. Anyone have an idea why the Windows agent won't log? I have created a c:\tmp\ directory and start the agent as both a system service and as the domain admin account (just to get it working), but still no logs.

          A couple of things to look at..

          What do you have your DebugLevel set to in you zabbix_agentd.conf?

          Are you seeing data being reported to your server yet? If not, double check the port set in your conf file matches what is on the server.

          Take care!

            unix type filepath

            You seem to be having the same problem as I was. Client not working and also no log files.

            Solution is to search for another log entry in your config file. I'll bet you, the default line is still there. And when that is the case, the agent won't start up at all.

            Look in your config file and comment the link. Then everything should be fine.
