SNMP: Empty Data Returned for Physical Address

When doing an SNMP v2 query for the physical address (MAC), I am getting an empty data returned. Here are my settings:

    .iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifPhysAddress
    .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.6.1
    ifPhysAddress.1
    Type of information: character

Has anyone else seen this too?

If I do an snmpget local on the box data is returned.

    Hello All,

I have exactly the same problem with this snmp oid on avaya switchs:
    ifPhysAddress.100 (snmpV1)

I get nothing and I made the test whith each type (text, log , character) and it's the same.

I think its probably beacause the returned value is in Hexadecimal format.

I have many snmp values that work fine so i think its a bug.

    Need confirmation.
