I have a virtual machine with a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 server install. Flowing the Zabbix install instructions at https://www.itzgeek.com/post/how-to-...-ubuntu-20-04/. I am using the template found here https://share.zabbix.com/network_dev...tik-queue-tree to monitor a Microtik RB750GR3. My problem is in the monitoring of the item prototype mtxrQueueTreeHCBytes It show low numbers and when I run a speed test from another computer I get 200mbps download results, Microtik Winbox shows the same, but Zabbix is reporting around 50-60MBps. Which for one is too high for a 200Mbps connection and second it is being multiplied by 8 and in seconds in preprocessing so that should be in bits. This is where I am confused. I have been fighting this for about 3 weeks now and have come up with my own calculations that are to multiply by 25 and in seconds and I get the numbers I should be getting in bits. I have my clients limited at 20Mbps down and I do sometimes see a spike up in the 40-60Mbps but for the most part the numbers are correct. Can anyone please explain to me why I need to multiply by 25 to get the numbers I should be getting or if I am doing something wrong. Thanks in advance.

I think I was forcing it. After I wrote this post I thought about everything and realized that the value is just the difference between the last and current readings. And that made me think of time as my UpdateInt was at 3mins. I was getting the value of 3 mins of change. I changed it to 1sec and now I seem to be getting the expected values with the mulitipier at 8 and in seconds. Cant find how to delete the post so maybe someone will find it of use later or tell me that I might be doing something wrong. Still not sure why the values were somewhat correct with a multiplier of 25 at 3min intervals, but........ A month of fighting about it in your head and all I needed was to write it all out, lol.
