Zabbix CPU Load alert / trigger issues

Hello all, and thanx in advance to those who take the time to read this and reply.

    Zabbix Server : 2.0.13
    Agent Version : 2.0.12

I had been getting flooded with zabbix alerts for the cpu load trigger. So I modified it to try and make things a little more reasonable.

I change it to this.. :

    {Template_Windows:system.cpu.load[,avg1].min(10)}>{Template_Windows:system.cpu.num[].last(0)}*2.5

The problem is that I am getting flooded even more now than before! Nearly an alert every minute of the day. From what I understand that basically says :

if cpu load average of 1 is 2.5 time greater than the core count of the monitored instance for 10 minutes then alert.

Am I way off? Any assistance is appreciated.

    Thanx in advance,

    J

.min(10) - it means that the lowest value per last 10 seconds(!)

If you want to check the period of 10 minutes, use .min(10m) expression
