    Database error, Connection refused

    Hello,

As of lately my zabbix server stoped working. Now i get this weird error message saying "Database error, Connection refused"
I did not touch any of the database setting recently and everything was working correctly with no strange error messages.

Have you verified that your MySQL database server is running?

You don't provide any information about what OS, Linux distro, or version you're using, which makes it difficult for anyone responding to provide specific instructions.

If you're on a system that uses systemd and systemctl and your mysql service happens to be called mysql.service, you could run

    Code:
    sudo systemctl status -l mysql.service
to get long output status from the mysql.service. That might provide a clue about what the problem is.

I will try that tomorrow on my zabbix server! I am using ubuntu 20.04 with zabbix version 5.0. I will let you know tomorrow if the mysql server is running! Thanks in advance

Something is very wrong with your database. systemd is trying to restart it but when it does, the database server intentionally exits with the ABRT signal. Whatever is wrong, the problem is with your database (not Zabbix).

Start by looking at your mariadb server log files, to see if there are obvious messages in there about what the problem is. Considering how serious it appears to be, I'm not in any position to offer much help on whether it can be "fixed".

You may end up having to recover from your most recent backup.
