Zabbix 5 has no disk space items or warnings

Just upgraded our server from 3 to 5. Maybe I'm missing something entirely but none of the templates in Zabbix 5 have disk space triggers or items that I can see. These are the most often triggered and most common of all issues we face. Why are these not included in the pre-fab templates like they are in version 3? What am I missing?

I just downgraded to Version 4. Still can't find any related item or triggers for filesystems. I was searching for Linux. Anyways I am going to just try and copy what is on 3 to 4 for disk space. Seems very strange the most common type of alert is no where to be found.

I have found an "item prototype" and "trigger prototype" but they don't seem to do anything.

I tested this on the zabbix server itself which installs with the OS Linux template and Zabbix app template. I filled the disk via "cat /dev/zero > delete.txt" and no alarm fired.

That's pretty sad for an alert software.

Template OS Windows In the template there is a discovery rule called Mounted filesystem discovery with 4 items and 1 trigger.
The default time for the rule is 1 hour.

Now after you apply this template to a host, goto host discovery rules then Mounted filesystem discovery and click on check now
it will automatically create the items and triggers, or wait 1hour.

If you test disk space before the items are discovered , then there is no disk to monitor and no trigger to fire

Thanks I figured out that Mounted file discovery takes an hour and creates a trigger and item simply by accident.

Radboud - That is exactly what happened. I tried testing before 1 hour.

Anyways, this is way more complicated than it needs to be. At a minimum the filesystem discovery should create items and triggers when its created. Anyways I hope this is helpful for anyone who finds it.
      Working...
