ZABBIX Agent Unavailable

Hi,

Recently we have been seeing the zabbix agent on a single server become unavailable briefly. This has only just started happening. It is a production server and normal service is not interrupted. Therefore the server is running fine and there is no load on it or network issues.
We have checked the Zabbix versions etc, any ideas?

Hi Keith. Have you recently been adding in new hosts/items/triggers for monitoring? Are you running your Zabbix setup with the stock values in zabbix_server.conf?

Can you take a look at this post https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47781 and do a comparison of your graphs for a one day period and see if everything looks good as far as your Zabbix server resources are concerned?

My first inclination would be to bump up your Timeout= in the zabbix_server.conf from 3 to 15, and do the same on that one server in your zabbix_agentd.conf then restart your Zabbix server process as well as the agent on that particular server.
