global notifications issue

Hi I've encountered a problem where global notifications are not displayed for all configured events. I configured the notifications for every severity triggers but notifications appear completely randomly. It's not based on triger severity, nor the sound it should play, nor monitored host.

We're running zabbix 2.4.4 and we have a front-end computer setup, which is connected to TV for everyone to see the status of the systems.

We use separate user for the front-end login. It has read permissions on all hosts and the notifications are setup based on instructions described on the following link:

there's nothing in httpd logs.
I've tried various browsers with no luck.

I'm completely lost here. I'd appreciate any help. thank you.
