Zabbix Agent shown grey and not green for half of my hosts

Hi,

About half of the hosts I have configured on my Zabbix server are shown in grey, like the agent is not connected, but looks like it can still trigger data from most of the hosts.
Everything was working fine since the day before, all the hosts had the green zabbix "button".
If I click on "latest data" on one of the hosts in the monitoring tab, I can see data have been triggered in the last seconds. Even Zabbix Agent latest data gets data (type and version).
The last one I've added doesn't even get data, even if ports are open and working (tested by telnet both from Zabbix server and clients).
All the hosts have the same agent config file, the only difference is for the hostname.
The only change I did recently has been adding one more host, I didn't change anything on Zabbix config files on server nor clients.

Does anybody have any idea?

Only agents that work in passive mode have that green status indicator if they are available and red if not.
Agents that work in active mode will always have a grey status indicator. Learn more about Active vs Passive Zabbix agent in this article.

I don't understand why all my agents on all my servers are active and I see the green status indicator for half of them and, more, all of them were green since last week and they've been green for 2 months...

If they wore green and now their status is grey that could mean two things:

1. Agents are unavailable. Check if the data is collected (latest data) for hosts. Check out error messages on items.
2. Agents are available (data should be visible on the latest data tool) but they are using active agent mode

Also, note that the agent can work in both modes simultaneously

Hi,
yes, data is collected, I can see updated data on "latest data". The only one I have with no data is the latest I've added, the logs don't show anything apart the agent is started.
I still don't understand why they were all working with passive agent and now they are working with active one...
