VMware Monitoring not ingesting data - Zabbix 2.4

Hello all! I'm running Zabbix 2.4 on CentOS 7 and trying to monitor VMware environment. My co-worker and I believe we figured out the log in issue as we were getting permission denied errors before. Those are gone, but we aren't getting any information from the ESXi servers.

I would like to turn the logging up per this information: Increase log level of all vmware collectors:
    shell> zabbix_server -R log_level_increase="vmware collector"

But what is the proper way to do this since the binary is loaded in systemctl?

Also, any other suggestions on getting VMware data ingested into Zabbix?

    Thank you!

[My explanation is awaiting moderator approval, but it has what we did to figure it out.]

This issue has been more or less resolved.

    For anyone looking into this:

We were using an AD tied account for this purpose that just did not have the proper permissions (not sure if this is an AD issue or not). We are currently looking at setting up local accounts on each ESXi node and using that. AD may be the culprit, we just don't know for sure and quite frankly, we don't have much free time to fully vet this theory out.

We used the root account (I know, big no-no, but it was temporary) to prove out our thoughts on this being an issue with the permissions that the AD user has. As soon as we did this, information started to be discovered!
