    0 at the Beginn of a String is Missing

    Hello,

    I create a Item that read the MAC-Addresse via SNMP....

    When I use a SNMP Browser I receive the correct mac-address like 00-20-85-E3-D0-79

    Herr is the Item Config, no Preprocessing is configured

    But in Zabbix, I only see the Value like 0-20-85-E3-D0-79.... the first 0 is missing

    Any Idea?

      oh... snmpget on zabbix proxy also deliver the missing 0

      snmpget -v1 -c public 10.0.0.10 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.6.2
      IF-MIB::ifPhysAddress.2 = STRING: 0:20:85:e3:d0:79

      By Using SNMP MIBBrowser the 0 is not missing... so it seems no Zabbix Problem?

        If the snmpget returns it with the "missing" 0, its definitely not Zabbix's fault. I'm not sure if this can be fixed.

          The Solution for SNMPGET is the Parameter -O 0 then the missing 0 is displayed...

          See Manpage
          -O OUTOPTS Toggle various defaults controlling output display:
          0: print leading 0 for single-digit hex characters
