I have a problem installing the Zabbix 5.2 agent, previously I had 4.0 installed, I uninstalled it, restart the server, but when trying to install the new version it gives me this error: This is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script is required to complete could not be run. Contact you support personnel or package vendor. But if I install the previous version it works for me without problems. I already tried with the microsoft troubleshooter and with resetting the winmgmt.

Apparently, this is still a sporadic issue. Having the same problem on one Windows 2016 server while installing agent version 5.0.2. All the other machines have installed the agent fine so far. Is there a solution or workaround available? Thanks.

Not sure if this is still an issue for some, but I was able to resolve this by manually removing the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\eventlog\Application\Zabbix Agent 2
