Using macros to filter switch interface discovery

    Hello.
    Testing Zabbix as an appliance.
Successfully snmp to my HP Procurve switch.
I applied macro {$IFCONTROL} with a value of 0, in an attempt to filter or prevent discovery of access ports.
No luck. I get 1000+ items discovered.

Based on what is written in the documentation (and highlighted by you) these macros affect trigger handling, but not LL discovery.

In other words, all ports will be found. but for some, the triggers won't fired.

For the builtin templates you can use e.g. the macro "{$NET.IF.IFALIAS.MATCHES}" and the corresponding... NOT_MATCHES, to stop interfaces from being discovered (and then set/not set a keyword on the IFALIAS on the switches).

        Hello,

Also I think you can try to use LLD Filters:
