Zabbix Agent no active checks on server

    Zabbix Agent no active checks on server

    i installed zabbix_server (Zabbix) 5.0.5 on centos 8
    everything is working fine
    but the agents cannot register on the server

    telnet from host to Zabbix server is ok
    telnet from server to host is ok

    I have 4 servers with the same issue
    configuration on agent side is ok and hostname defined correctly same as in zabbix server

    getting an error from agent log with same as attached

    i know that you will say the issue in hostname
    but i have configured the hostname same as server, I took it copy past from the server

      This happens when you didn't set the Host Name correctly inside the Zabbix - Configuration - Hosts - { your host} - Host Name field.
      Make sure every hosts you want to monitor has an unique host name definied in Zabbix configuration and within the units (computer/server/unit) itself too.

          Host name Enter a unique host name. Alphanumerics, spaces, dots, dashes and underscores are allowed. However, leading and trailing spaces are disallowed.
          Note: With Zabbix agent running on the host you are configuring, the agent configuration fileparameter Hostname must have the same value as the host name entered here. The name in the parameter is needed in the processing of active checks.

              I know that you were going to say that but to avoid this issue I used automatic registration and the same
              automatic registration the system inset its own hostname

              Well that you know! Make sure that everything works correctly during auto-registration.
              I hope the server address in agent config is not *.*.*.* but a normal ip address?

                  This issue has been solved
                  the issue was in the templet
                  as when I used Linux zabbix agent templet it worked fine
                  when tried the active did not work
