    Inventory only available through localhost/zabbix

    Hello,
I've got zabbix 2.4 for working on a redhat linux server. I've one enabled, and working, zabbix-agent. If I launch firefox (via x-win) from the server, and sign into localhost/zabbix with my ID (not the default admin ID) I see the host defined, etc.

If, on the other hand, I come in over the net to:

    http:/my.server.edu/zabbix

I get the dashboard, but when I log in get a blank setup, i.e. "no host groups found", "no events found", etc.

It's, as if, the inventory is defined to only be available to "localhost"

What have I keyed in incorrectly, and how do I maje the content of the MYSQL database available via ports 80/443?

    Thanks,

    Paul Mitchell

    Inventory only available through localhost/zabbix

Hmm, so I got the clever idea of logging in, via http on port 80, as "Admin". well of course, all the inventory is there. Howwver, I defined some fo this inventory when logged in as myself, pmitchel, who has admin rights. So when I log into zabbix as pmitchel, why can't I see what I've already installed? Why do I need to be Admin to see it?

    Thanks,

    Paul

this seems like a huge bug. I had renamed the admin user to something else, and the inventory stopped working. I created a new user named admin and all of a sudden it could see the inventory. WTH?
