We have an issue with several SNMP Devices. When disconnected, Zabbix successfully displays that the devices are unreachable. However, when reconnecting the devices, Zabbix never seems to check for the device again and the system displays the device continues to be offline.
The only fix for this issue so far appears to be restarting the entire Zabbix service, upon which Zabbix immediately begins SNMP communications again with the device and it shows as online again.
What can we do to fix this problem? It's not feasible to restart Zabbix every time these devices go offline to see if they're online again.
