Just starting out with Zabbix - but I may have to use something else if I can't resolve this issue. Been searching for a solution for days. After about 20 hours of running, about 75% of the system memory gets gobbled up... from perhaps 1 or 2GB to 52GB. The server has 64GB assigned. And the memory remains occupied after shutting down Zabbix and Postgresql.
Specs:
Ubuntu 20.04.1 (VMware ESXI guest - 64GB memory, 24 CPUs)
Zabbix 5.2.2
Postgresql 12.5
Tried these based on an older post:
1) echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
2) /bin/echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
Only a power cycle reestablishes "normal" behavior. Your help will be appreciated.
