I was testing zabbix by spinning up a new VMWare VM. I installed Ununtu 20.04 LTS, nginx and postgre sql. I had zabbix up and running to the point where I added a few users and hosts. I had DNS setup to point to a FQDN of zabbix.stdair.com but the Ubuntu IP address was still using DHCP. I decided that I would make this a more-permanent installation and changed the IPv4 address in Ubuntu to static. I updated my DNS entries and took steps to ensure my PC was using the new IP address. I can now ping the FQDN of the Ubuntu VM, it resolves to the correct IP address and all pings are successful. When I navigate back to zabbix.stdair.com it times out and doesn't respond. If I enter the IP address for the URL (i.e. http://192.168.0.46), I see the nginx default welcome page. That tells me Ubuntu and nginx are working correctly (at least in my limited Linux knowledge) but either postgre or zabbix is at fault. I looked through many .conf files for nginx, PHP, zabbix, etc. but I could not find anywhere where the IP address is hard-coded. Rather, the zabbix-server.conf file shows the site name correctly at zabbix.stdair.com. I don't know the first thing about troubleshooting postgre.
Can anyone guide me what to check next?
