So, I've been using zabbix about 11 months. Like it. But this one has me befuddled.
First, after upgrading to 2.4 from 2.2, (2.4.5 current) my iDRACs starting skipping LOTS of info. I read that one cause of this is querying too much data, so I created custom templates that have only 5 queries, all verified with ipmitools.
Except it doesn't work. There are 3 dracs with a common set of names, and one of the machines doesn't respond to a query for 'Ambient Temp' whereas the others do. All 3 have this. Now, there are 3(!) fields all named 'Ambient Temp'
So, using ipmitool -v I can see the sensor ID of 0xe.
How do I tell Zabbix to query for that specific value? I entered that and it didn't work.
Or, how do you get good IPMI queries with 2.4.5? I've got 32 ipmi pollers for 28 devices.
