Two hostnames with the same IP

I got problem, let's say I have Host A and Host B with the same IP for both hosts, to these hosts attached different templates A and B, so Zabbix checks only one of these hosts.

Why? Is is a bug or a feature?

I guess you are trying to monitor 1 target server with two different templates?

You cannot have two different templates monitor the same target. The target has to be different- here's one way to do it:

For template A, define the target server using it's hostname. Do not define an IP address for this one. Zabbix will lookup this server using it's hostname alone.

For template B, define the target server using it's IP address. Give it some generic hostname but check the box that says "Use IP address".

Now, you should be able to monitor the same box with two different templates.

But its sounds like workaround and I suppose its should be fixed in next versions.
