Issue connecting to Zabbix Agent

Hello, I installed zabbix agent on my edge device and I set the correct ip address in the config file, but my zabbix server can not connect to it. It shows me the error: Received empty response for the server [IP address]. Assuming that agent dropped connection because of access permissions.
When I run telnet command on my agent it says "Connected to [IP address]" but then "connection closed by foreign host". Can anyone help please?

After updating the zabbix_agentd.conf file, did you restart zabbix-agent ?
Can you telnet to your zabbix server from zabbix agent host ?
What does the zabbix-agent logs say ?

Hello,
I restarted the zabbix-agent. And when I do telnet, it says connection closed by foreign host. but, messages are being sent in the slack channel. Logs don't have anything unusual.
