[Problem] New Zabbix Schedule PDF Report... Empty 1kb size PDF.

Hi,
I recently upgraded Zabbix 5.2 to 5.4 and set zabbix_web_service on the same server, activated the GUI, and also installed Google Chrome.
I followed every step of the documentation, but the PDFs come empty with a size of 1 kb.



Not much information in the zabbix_web_service log,

Hi Guys, I am same issue but with File not Found

At my installation using google-chrome-stable package caused generating white empty PDF reports. Switching to chromium fixed issue.

what i've donde is to put in http in the conf file and in the gui URL and it worked

Our resolution is:

1. Administration -> General -> Other: Fronend URL: https://Yours.DNS.adr

2.Zabbix server config: WebServiceURL=http://Yours.DNS.adr:10053/report

3.Web service config:
TLSAccept=unencrypted
IgnoreURLCertErrors=1

Its work for us :-) Not blank PDF

It has worked for me with one difference;

Frontend URL: https://ServerFQDN/zabbix/

Now everything works fine.

My resolution was to upgrade database to postgresql 13 - latest version.

Old Postgresql verisions (11, 12) caused strange issues. ( empty PDF, timeouts )

I have the same problem, when it runs via the schedule its 1k (blank) but if i manually run it , i get the reports in full

Having issues generating the reports.

Zabbix 6.0
Ubuntu 22.0.4
Installed Chrome but was getting empty reports.
Installed Chromium and not getting below errors.

• Cannot fetch data: chrome failed to start:
• cmd_run.go:1046: WARNING: cannot create user data directory: cannot create snap home dir: mkdir /var/lib/zabbix: permission denied
• /system.slice/zabbix-web-service.service is not a snap cgroup

Any pointers are appreciated.

Having the same issue, I replicated it in 4 different installations 6.2, 6.2.7, 6.4.0, as appliance and AWS image with preinstalled zabbix.
I am missing a step, empty PDF with file not found.
Tried chrome and chromium no go. no errors.
Witekitten, do you know where to find chrome logs? not an expert myself, I am using winscp to visualise logs

I have the same issue with v6.4 but it was working in 6.2.7.

I tried the solution provided by Rudlafik but still having issues. I will continue to work on this and let everyone know if I get it working.

Good news
I just managed to find a workaround that works. I was using Nginx in all my installations.

I swapped to Apache instead and it worked. It is possible that works with Nginx as well but not sure what exactly configuration is needed and where.
When switching to apache the front end server gui login changes from http://192.168.2.101/ to http://192.168.2.101/zabbix/
