Symbol Lookup Error in zabbix_server - usmAES192PrivProtocol

Zabbix Server 5.4
Redhat EL 8.1
Running on azure

Zabbix server start up failed with this message: "Jun 01 20:48:13 zabbix54server /usr/sbin/zabbix_server: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/zabbix_server: undefined symbol: usmAES192PrivProtocol
I have read where the problem may be the snmp lib version?
Yum tells me I have:
net-snmp-libs.i686 1:5.8-12.el8_1.3 rhel-8-for-x86_64-baseos-eus-rhui-rpms
but research (https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...col#post425209)
indicates I need:net-snmp-libs-5.8-18.el8_3.1.x86_64

I issue the yum update for net-snmp* and I get the 'nothing to do' message.
Any tips appreciated.

ps. zabbix-agent, php-fpm running fine.smpd installed and runs also.

I deleted my vm and reinstalled everything, I turned off selinux - just in case (setenforce 0) and rebooted.

but still get the same error - undefined symbol: usmAES192PrivProtocol

when i 'nm' the zabbix_server executable I get

Did you set it to /etc/yum/vars/releasever so that it doesn't update from a particular minor release version? If you are willing to upgrade the minor version from 8.1, consider setting it so that you can upgrade to a minor version such as 8.3 or 8.4.
but, I haven't confirmed if 8.4 can be used on Azure.

Similar problem observed: https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...n-fedora-35-rc. I think it has to do with ciphers enabled in net-snmp.
