    Disable Escalation cancelled messages

Is there any way to disable "Escalation cancelled" emails? I wrote a python script awhile ago that looks at alerts and automatically disables all email alerts after X number of alerts are received within Y timeframe. It has worked great for years. Ever since I upgraded to v5.2 I started getting escalation cancelled warning emails from disabling the email alerts, essentially undoing my fix for the email spam because now I get spam for disabling the spam.

And before you say it, I know all about setting up dependencies to stop spam, but there is no solution for my situation and many others. My MDF locations in my buildings are on UPS backup, but my IDF locations are not, due to resource limitations. So when there is a power outage, the MDF stays online and all of my IDF cabinets go down and send me alerts.

bump again. These new escalation canceled messages are quite annoying. You get them after disabling hosts and/or triggers as well.

It seems there is no option to disable this action.
        According to Escalations documentation:
If the trigger that generated an active escalation is disabled, Zabbix sends an informative message about it to all those that have already received notifications.
        And that's it...
Maybe you could try to tinker with your DB upon those notification storms.

Did you disable it on the root escalation schedule? There could be exception that will work differently.
