    Zabbix 5.4.2 problems

    I have an old Zabbix 4.0 server with proxies and never given me any problems except a couple of GUI bugs which are well known.

    So installed Zabbix 5.4.2 on a new server and it was relatively painless but it has a weird problem where the graphs don't update. When you go to edit the graphs the data is there but the normal view is not the same.

    To add to that I gave the system a remote proxy and that will run for 20-30 min and then stop with this message

    356:20210709:145633.990 7ffff4987000-7ffff59e0000 rw-p 00000000 00:00 0 [heap]
    356:20210709:145633.996 7ffffc4cf000-7ffffcccf000 rw-p 00000000 00:00 0 [stack]
    356:20210709:145634.003 7ffffcde1000-7ffffcde2000 r-xp 00000000 00:00 0 [vdso]
    356:20210709:145634.009 ================================
    356:20210709:145634.016 Please consider attaching a disassembly listing to your bug report.
    356:20210709:145634.022 This listing can be produced with, e.g., objdump -DSswx zabbix_proxy.
    356:20210709:145634.029 ================================
    87:20210709:145634.038 One child process died (PID:356,exitcode/signal:1). Exiting ...
    zabbix_proxy [87]: Error waiting for process with PID 356: [10] No child processes
    87:20210709:145634.071 Zabbix Proxy stopped. Zabbix 5.4.2 (revision 4c8f9aabe1).

    So the basic question have I been unlucky or is Zabbix 5.4.2 unstable and if so what version should I be using.

    Regarding the graphs not updating, you can vote for this issue: https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-19419
    Note you can also override the dashboard default with a custom "Time period" where To equals "now", but that of course makes the dashboard time-range settings useless...

        If the OpenBSD operating system is used, a use-after-free bug in the Net-SNMP library up to the 5.7.3 version can cause a crash of Zabbix server if the SourceIP parameter is set in the Zabbix server configuration file. As a workaround, please do not set the SourceIP parameter. The same problem applies also for Linux, but it does not cause Zabbix server to stop working. A local patch for the net-snmp package on OpenBSD was applied and will be released with OpenBSD 6.3.
