Hi Folks! I am trying to roll out zabbix in our org and one important thing for me is the ability to monitor our MS SQL servers. I am using the built in template (https://www.zabbix.com/integrations/microsoft_sql). For whatever reason, I cannot seem to get zabbix to see anything related to MS SQL. I do see the ZBX icon green in the host list so it appears the agent is connecting properly.
I keep seeing the error: MSSQL: Service is unavailable - The TCP port of the MS SQL Server service is currently unavailable.
I've tried changing the values in the Macros:
{$MSSQL.INSTANCE}
{$MSSQL.PASSWORD}
{$MSSQL.USER}
I've tested the user credentials using MSSQLMS so I know it is not a sql permissions issue. I know my server is using the default TCP ports, so I have not changed the macro {$MSSQL.PORT}
Zabbix Ver: 5.0.13
Zabbix OS: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Windows Agent: zabbix_agent2-5.4.2-windows-amd64-openssl
Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Datacenter
I'm not sure what to test / check next, any guidance is appreciated!
