Agent:agent.ping.nodata() gives an error after server went down

Hello, I have item and triggers based on this template:

    Code:
    {Template App Zabbix Agent:agent.ping.nodata(5m)}=1
It worked fine for a while. I don't know what happened, but one of my servers went down and I didn't get notified.
I can assure that zabbix agent IS running on "my_host" right now but zabbix dashboard gives this error:
    Code:
Cannot evaluate expression: "Cannot evaluate function "my_host:agent.ping.nodata(5m)": item does not have enough data after server start or item creation.".

I have read zabbix documentation that
Note that this function will display an error if, within the period of the 1st parameter:
    - there's no data and Zabbix server was restarted
    - there's no data and maintenance was completed
    - there's no data and the item was added or re-enabled
Errors are displayed in the Info column in trigger configuration.
So the problem is clear, but the solution isn't.

How do I make item work again?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    What's your server version?
I'm having the exact same problem since i upgraded my 5.2.1 to 5.4.3 today - only 2 hosts are bouncing PROBLEM-OK with this error and i can't figure out why.

    Code:
22202:20210823:122753.998 evaluate_expressions():expression [{20512}=1] cannot be evaluated: Cannot evaluate function nodata(/xxx/icmpping[,5,3000],5m): item does not have enough data after server start or item creation.

      Hi again,

Quick update for you to check - I have found out that the 3 hosts (yes, a third one appeared) that had this specific problem were having the same configuration
      - snmp checks (various things)
      - icmp pings

The three of them were not reachable through SNMP (while ping is OK)
I have fixed the SNMP access for all of them - the nodata trigger does not seem to raise now

Can you please have a look on your concerned hosts, in order to see if you do not have SNMP checks enabled, but SNMP not working ?
