    Issue with snmptraps in zabbix

First off, thank you for reading this post. I have been struggling along for a couple weeks now.

I have setup zabbix various times, created templates, setup triggers, setup actions, etc. Everything I have done though is snmp polling. This is a first go at snmptraps.

    Where I am at
I have Zabbix 2.4.6 running. A device sending snmptraps to it. Snmptt configured to log to a file. Zabbix picking up these and matching it to the host ip address in latest data.

Zabbix -> Monitoring -> Latest Data, Hosts, snmptrap-fallback.
    21:29:25 2015/09/14 .1.3.6.1.4.1.331.1.2.1.1.3.1 Normal "Status Events" dns.name.local - "alarmTrap" basicAgentLocationIdentification "not_defined", connAgentUID "00.e0.33.e5.07.48", alarmEquipmentPointer ".1.3.6.1.4.1.331.1.2.1.6.3", alarmPhysicalIndex "1", alarmEquipmentCTA "3.5.8.1:40448" alarmAdditionalText "Downlink Low RF Output Wireless 1000.0 MHz", alarmProbableCause "51", alarmEventType "2", alarmEventDateTime "07 DF 09 0F 01 1A 25 00 2B 00 00 ", alarmPerceivedSeverity "1", alarmSpecificProblem "4$", alarmID: "3509", alarmTrapCounter: "479", sysName: "IONU"

What I am having issues with

I am getting 14 different variables on alarmTrap. I would like to get them matched to different items in zabbix. Then I can used this to create different triggers to alarm on events.

Please let me know if I can provide any more info.
    Thank you

snmptrap.fallback is intended to receive the ones that do not meet the conditions of the other snmptrap[].
If you want to divide each of the trap, please use the item of snmptrap[regex].

I read that guide but am looking for an example of how I get different variables into different items. Right now when my item key is snmptrap["connAgentUID"], snmptrap["alarmTrapCounter"] or snmptrap[alarmPerceivedSeverity] I just get the entire line.

Say I just want to get the text/value after connAgentUID in the item. Is there a way to do that?

      Thanks
