Actions not working on 2.4.6

I am having a very unique problem that I cannot seem to figure out what its doing. So I recently upgraded our Zabbix infrastructure to 2.4.6. And everything was working fine however, actions are no longer working. The weird part of it is that they work for a Day then stop working all together with no error whatsoever. Could this be Zabbix Server issue or could this be a database issue?

I really need help with this, I can provide any other information.

MariaDB-Galera 5.5 as DB
Ubuntu 14.04

I have two other nodes and a backup zabbix server for failover. Failing over to the other server gets the same results as well.

Hi,

Can you spot anything wrong in Zabbix server log?

And can you check Administration => Audit and select Action log in top right dropdown?

Also check Zabbix internal process busy graphs (and all others as well). Can you see if Alerter or Escalator processes are not overloaded at those moments?

So, there is nothing in the log.

The web is also seriously slow now, with 8 CPUS 10 GBs RAM for the mysql host. And 8 CPUs and 8 GB RAM for the Zabbix server(s). With the way this is now I am going to have to revert back, 2.2 was fine and had no problem.

Also my solution right now to this is to have a cron to restart Zabbix-server every 8 hours.

Hi,

Don't revert to 2.2. You even cannot do that with existing DB. You will have to use some old 2.2 backup in such case.

I don't have time to go into much details at the moment, but start with serious performance review using all available resources.

I see you are certified so you should have touched that during training.

Start with all performance graphs. Perhaps Alerter process hangs at some point. Depends on what your actions do. If you have like 3 actions to send email to admin, then you have a strange issue. If you have like 100 actions using scripts etc, then I am not surprised. I would suggest you start that direction.
