Install zabbix on raspberry pi 2

    ..
i know it is possible to run zabbix server on a PI2.
but failed to find a good and easy way to install it ..
i found a way but it was not running the current version.
and the other failed to run zabbix-server..

i know it is not the best way to run zabbix but i an not planning to run lots of sensors/hosts.. just the home network.. <10hosts.. < 1000sensors..

can anyone point me in the right direction .. ??

    Regards Joost .

I would also like to know, don't know how many times I tried to follow different guids on the subject. I have managed to get the zabbix webpage up and configured but after that it ends up with error messages that the zabbix server is not running etc ( and yes, I have googled my ass of for solutions and also tried them but with no luck )

Thinking that it would be goog with a thurogh guide for us "not so advanced" users that want to use zabbix on an Raspberry pi 2 in home-enviroment, think that it's almost ideal for a home-enviroment.

this is what i used to install .. which did you use ???

Wouldn't it be cool to monitor your home? For example all your devices, but also temperature and other sensors an have all that data accessible via a web interfaces? I think it would so, i thought about setting up Zabbix for home monitoring, but on the RaPi B and B+ it's not the most performant

Ok, I'm getting to this step in the guide:

            #configure php-settings
            vim /etc/php5/apache2filter/php.init

I don't have that catalouge?? I've followed the steps prior to this with no issues??

            Please advice:-)

Nope, I can't get it to work, I'm stuck on the step i wrote about higher up in the tread.

In Debian Whezzy I at least got the website up...

That was the same problem i had .. i found the file in a different location.
i did a search on the desktop to locate the file . after edit it worked.
the only this i stil have a problem with is that the server wil not RUN ...

                  i found the file in
                  /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini
                  and
                  /etc/phph/cli/php.ini

the website is up .. but the warnign keep popping up saying that ther server is not running .

                  grt Joost .

Hello, did you edit both files??

The error "Server is not running" was an issue with debian whezzy also. Must be some bugg?? Will try again to install this week.

And grt Joost, have you sucessfully added som objects and got them to connect to the Zabbixz server?? Did you get a green "Z"??

Ok, I have managed to install zabbix server and it's running but i cant browse to the website??

When i write 192.168.xxx.xxx/zabbix I get "Not found"

If I only write 192.168.xxx.xxx I get "It works" and the standard apache website. Where do I point to so that apache shows zabbix website??

Not so good with webservers config...
