Screen -> Host info = Unknown

    Hi,

I am having a problem with the Host Info-resource when creating a screen.

I add a host, removing Agent interfaces and adding a SNMP interface. Then I attach the default template "Template SNMP OS Linux".

Checking "latest data" shows correct values and viewing configuration of the host it says Enabled and the SNMP-icon are green on the top.

The problem is when creating a screen with a Host info resource for the host group, it reports the host as Unknown, not Available as i thought it would do?

I have imported over 3500 hosts and all behave like this. When creating a Host info-resource for the group "Zabbix servers" my server shows up as Available thou.

Sorry, noticed I forgot some vital information:
    Zabbix server v2.4.6 (revision 54796) (10 August 2015)
Installed from official repository on Debian

    Hi again,

I wonder if the above and this issue have a correlation?:

When checking "Dashboard" - "System Status", it only reports that a host group has a problem when the ICMP trigger "Response time is too high on {HOST.NAME}" triggers for a host. Not when the trigger "{HOST.NAME} is unavailable by ICMP" is active. Shouldn't it?

This when using the default template "Template ICMP Ping".

This was my fault(?). I had changed the trigger severity to "High" instead of the default "Warning". Is this a bug or a feature?

The original problem with hosts reported as "Unknown" still remains.

Could someone test to see if it works for them?:

        1. Add a host, remove the Agent interface and add a SNMP interface. Add it to a host group. Attach the default template "Template SNMP OS Linux".

        2. Create a screen with the Host info resource for the host group you added the above host to.

What do the screen report, Available or Unknown?
