Zabbix agent on Zabbix server is unreachable for 5 minutes (22 Hours)

Hi, we have a fresh installed zabbix server here.
And Yesterday we Activated the Self Montioring.
For mayve 7 Hours all workded fine, but since then i got this message:

Zabbix agent on Zabbix server is unreachable for 5 minutes

We havent changed anything.
We Tryt to restart and reboot the server but still no joy.

The Zabbix Agent is not listening / port 10050 isnt used by a service.
So the whole service seems to be stopped.

service zabbix-server status says:

└─1326 /usr/sbin/zabbix_server: self-monitoring [processed data in 0.000005 sec, idle 1 sec]

Zabbix-server log isnt helpung.

Anyone have an idea?

Zabbix server and Zabbix agent (on the same server) are two different processes. Please check Zabbix agent log and status of the process.

zabbix agent on Zabbix server is unreachable

Hi Ingus.Vilnis,

I am also getting this error in email Zabbix alert notification,but the server availability status shows in green colour.

I am frequently getting this mail alert for other hosts also

Error log as follows,

3200:20160406:105504.354 active check configuration update from [] started to fail (ZBX_TCP_READ() failed: [0x0000274C] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.)

Kindly advice..
