Discovery not working with vCenter 4.0

Hi All,

I am very new user for Zabbix. Could not find help on the internet after googling and search of couple of days now.

Zabbix proxy and sever, working fine for Two vCenters. These vCenters are version 5.1. But not able to Discover VMs and Hypervisors for another vCenter server version 4.0. Nothing works for this vCenter having version 4.0

1. No information in Zabbix proxy log. Debug level is 4. Lots of information about other working vCenters
2. Does Zabbix Support vCeneter 4.0 ?. If not, is there any other easy way to detect VMs/Hypervisors.?

3. Checked and getting 404 error from command line for wget https://vcenter/sdk

4. May be have to do something different for vCenter 4.0 than vCenter 5.1 ?

Any idea?

Please read manual.

The minimum required VMware vCenter or vSphere version is 4.1.

It will be necessary to prepare the like to obtain the metrics by separately using the SDK.

1. Is it possible to monitor VMware 4.0 or not?
2. From your post it seems, yes it is possible to monitor VMware 4.0 as well, but needs some changes on vCneter. So i went to the link you mentioned and selected 4.0 and there is option to download. I have downloaded and now what? no idea what to do that i have downloaded. Please explain a little more

Not need change on vCenter.
But, Zabbix cannot access to 4.0 direct.
And you cannot use LLD by Zabbix builtin function.

If you want access to 4.0, you can use some script with vmware sdk.
