Notifications even when host isn't alerting!

    Hello!

I have some switchs that have dependencies on the router of its local site. But i still receive e-mail notifications of the switchs. They are not alerting on dashboard or events tab.

Let me give an example: The switch02 from SaoPaulo office is alerting, but what realy is down is the router. Even with the "switch02SaoPaulo-host offline" trigger depending from "routerSaoPaulo-host offline" trigger, we receive notifications for the switch, that doesn't alert on the Dashboard or events tab!

Anyone could help? Had this issue?

    Zabbix 2.4.3 on RHEL 6

    Thanks for all help!

      Hi,

Please check Administration -> Audit - select Action log in top right dropdown.

There you will see which action exactly is sending notifications. Then check if you have some duplicated actions.

And then check your triggers. Maybe you indeed have the trigger dependencies configured but you are receiving notifications about some other trigger with very similar name (I have seen such cases a few times).

      Best Regards,
      Ingus
