IPMI alerts whereas I do not use it

    Hi,

I've got alerts from my proxy server, whereas I do not use IPMI on it (I do use it on my main server). How could that be ?

    In /etc/zabbix/zabbix_proxy.conf :

    ### Option: StartIPMIPollers
    # Number of pre-forked instances of IPMI pollers.
    #
    # Mandatory: no
    # Range: 0-1000
    # Default:
    # StartIPMIPollers=0

Attached is my log file when starting Zabbix proxy, you can see it does not start IPMI pollers, but I receive this kind of alerts :

Trigger: Zabbix ipmi poller processes more than 75%

And indeed I see on my latest data % of Zabbix busy ipmi poller processes, in % that is fluctuing.

I do not understand, what could it be ?

    Thanks!

Please check which server is triggered.

If you have not started process for ipmi, that process busy isn't detected on that server.

It's my proxy which is triggered. This is a bug.

I tried to create an environment of Zabbix 2.2.11.
We also conducted surveillance over the Proxy, but such a trigger does not occur.

If you have not started the process for IPMI, the status of the item will "Not supported".
Event of trigger that are set with the item does not occur.

        Please check your host setting.
