    Changing period in display stops refresh

    As of yesterday I noticed that if I change my period the graph stops updating.

    here is the ->view->source snippet initially .....
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    <meta name="Author" content="ZABBIX SIA (Alexei Vladishev, Eugene Grigorjev)">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css.css">
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30">
    <title>Custom graphs [refreshed every 30 sec]</title>
    </head>

    As soon as I change the period (in any way) ->view->source snippet changes to......
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    <meta name="Author" content="ZABBIX SIA (Alexei Vladishev, Eugene Grigorjev)">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css.css">
    <title>Custom graphs</title>
    </head>

    NOTICE THE REFRESH got trashed.

    ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    running zabbix 1.1
    The only thing that I did was in response to this link

    suggesting I do a "update items set delay=3600 where type=2"

    But I Don't see how that could have broken it.

    Thank you

    Still Hurting

    Any suggestions? Should I recopy in all the php files?
    Ive tried to diagnose but I do not even know what section of code is used when graph display adjustments are performed.

    When I am in graph of monitor->"Latest Data" I can adjust period.
    When I am in monitor->"graph" and I make any adjustment I lose refresh.

    Please comment.

      a workaround that i have found is to change host, if your graph has items from several hosts. if you have only one, change host forth and back to another, then your graph should again refresh.
      kinda annoying, but at least a workaround exists

        This is designed to work this way! Would you accept refreshing of the graph while looking at monthly or yearly trends?!

          If it's a problem when viewing at monthly or yearly graphs, can the refresh just be turned off for those longer time periods?

          Or even better yet, give us the option, by default not refresh, but we can click a button on the page to turn on refreshing no matter what time period we have set? Seems like it would be simple to implement. This would satisfy everyone!

            alexei, but try this :
            switch to 24h, then switch back to 1h. refreshing is not enabled.
            while having 24h, switch hosts - refreshing is enabled.
            so, the idea is clear, but implementations has things that could be improved.

            actually i like the idea about an option to turn refresh on, maybe a simple checkbox could be made to switch this option on/off per graph ?
