Problems starting agent zabbix on Ubuntu

Hello Good Nigth

I´m really new on zabbix, and i need to install zabbix agent on Linux Ubuntu, but when i´m trying to start the agent with the command: sudo service zabbix-agent start nothing happen

And when im check the status of zabbix-agent this is the result:

root@SERVERSGC:/etc/zabbix# service zabbix-agent status
* zabbix_agentd is not running

i trying to check the log file but don't generate anything in path /var/log/zabbix

I check the log in my proxy zabbix and i got this messages:

20891:20151202:160658.983 Zabbix agent item "agent.ping" on host "DI_serversgc" failed: first network error, wait for 15 seconds
20911:20151202:160716.936 Zabbix agent item "proc.num[,,run]" on host "DI_serversgc" failed: another network error, wait for 15 seconds
20911:20151202:160734.940 Zabbix agent item "system.localtime" on host "DI_serversgc" failed: another network error, wait for 15 seconds
20911:20151202:160752.952 temporarily disabling Zabbix agent checks on host "DI_serversgc": host unavailable

maybe ther is somthing in /tmp/zabbix-agent.log?

can you please post you start script and please check the log-path in zou zabbix-agent.conf
