Zabbix on dinamic interfaces

Hello people, i'm currently working on a startup company, currently since our network is growing we are on dire need of an efficient monitoring system. I'm not a linux expert, suffered a lot installing zabbix, than making it work.

Since the place i'm working at uses PPPoe, i've found that after adding a few Mikrotik routers hosts at zabbix soon or later it crashes due to the ammount of dynamic interfaces 1200 items on average per router, adding 4 or more routers means death to zabbix server.

I've tried with no success to find a way to filter specifically all the PPPoe interfaces, any ideas?

Those filters should be somewhere in discovery (LLD macros). Never used Mikrotik templates, so I cannot really point exact place, but considering how those templates are usually built up, there is a way to restrict, what is discovered and what not....
