Dear Chris,

To this day, I have not had time to deal with it.
I had this problem with Raspberry Pi 2, 32-bit Raspbian and Zabbix 6.0.1.
In the next few hours I’m going to install 64-bit Raspbian and Zabbix 6.0.1 to a Raspberry Pi 3 and see if there’s a problem with that as well.

What I also found out is that if I put the "Zabbix Server" host measurement to "Disabled", the problem goes away and Zabbix runs fine.
There are three more hosts in Zabbix:
- 1 ICMP Ping to Google's DNS server
- 1 SNMP host (Mikrotik router)
- 1 Modbus host
There is no problem with these, only if I "Enable" the "Zabbix Server" host...

Yes, you are right. With host "Zabbix Server" deactivated the error goes away.

After two hours of operation, the Raspberry Pi 3 with the 64-bit Raspbian operating system, Zabbix 6.0.1, did not have the common crash problem...

I am having the same problem, but I am not running it on a Raspberry Pi.

Disabling the Zabbix host before updating does not solve the problem for me.
Leaving out the package “zabbix-server-mysql” during updating of Ubuntu solves my problem partially, because then updates for other packages can be performed.

To hold the package:
apt-mark hold zabbix-server-mysql

To unhold the package (after a new update is available for this package):
apt-mark unhold zabbix-server-mysql

Hopefully the problem with this package will be fixed in a future Zabbix version.

I just updated the Zabbix server. First by installing all except “zabbix-server-mysql”. Thereafter unholding that package, and updating it from 6.0.0 to the latest 6.0.3 . The problem with aborted connections (seen on 6.0.1) was then on the latest version not seen any anymore

I also had the same problem with zabbix when I changed the MariaDB path from /var/lib/mysql to /home/lib/mysql. The mariadb service still ran fine however, when restarting zabbix-server it would fail. If I returned to the original MariaDB path /var/lib/mysql it would work fine.
