Trigger for "No Such Object available on this agent at this OID" ?

The SNMP agent on some of our switches have started to fail, due to a memory leak. The problem is that the SNMP agent still responds, but without the requested content, hence the .nodata trigger I've created is not triggered.

Does anyone have an idea as to how a trigger that catches "No Such Object available on this agent at this OID" could be crafted ?

So far I've tried with an iregexp, testing for: "No Such Object available on this agent at this OID" to no avail.

Help is most certainly welcome :-)

    Hi,

"No Such Object available on this agent at this OID"
Do you actually have the MIB files on the Zabbix server for the device you are monitoring?

Try "snmpwalk" from Zabbix server to your device. Do you get any results?

    Best Regards,
    Ingus

      Hi Ingus

I don't use MIB's on the Zabbix server, but the raw OID's
The OID I've created the ".nodata" trigger on, is the standard sysUpTime.0 (.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0), but due to the SNMP Agent on the device is failing, it still responds, but not with valid data, and the ".nodata" trigger isn't tripped.

Doing a walk or get with MIBrowser gives this:
Name/OID: sysUpTime.0; Value (EndOfMibView): (Snmp End Of Mib View)
