No Time Period Selector or Time Bar for Plain Text widget

Hello,
When in 6.0 I add a widget of a graph to a dashboard I get a Time period selector or time bar.
When screens were still available in 5.0 and I added a plain text widget to a screen, I also got a time bar.
But now in 6.0 both screens and time bars for plain text widgets are gone.

Is this a bug and should it have been implemented? All elements of the necessary code seem to be present.
Or is this intentional? I can not see any reason why. It did work in screens after all.

Hm. I found I can use the 'Item Value' widget to view logs. You see just one entry, but if you click the widget, you get the list of log entries and the time selector. Kind of weird, but it works.
