Help with trigger expression

Hi Guys,

I'm getting some unexpected results from a trigger which was working fine until now & was hoping someone could take a look & suggest a reason why it has decided to start misbehaving.

The expression is: ((last(/EVENTSIN)-last(/EVENTSOUT))>20000)=1

The trigger is designed to alert when events in minus events out are greater than 20,000 which was working fine but all of a sudden it started triggering when the difference in events was only a few thousand.

Can anyone think of what might have caused this?

Hi JWF,

have you tried to check it with several input parameters ? Press: Trigger - Expression constructor - Test
When this works fine, the error is elsewhere.

Perhaps this helps to determine the root cause.

Thanks for the suggestion Martin, I will give that a try!

I cloned the rule & changed the input parameters & it worked fine & went off when it should.

So I guess maybe there is a problem with the item that i'm using?

I don't see how there could be though, nothing has changed, everything looks fine, the data coming in is numeric integers & it's a simple equation..

Any other suggestions?
